Me and my work

I see how the body responds to both exercise and stress; blood pressure, heart rate, hormones- it’s an amazing thing!

My Typical Day

Best thing about science is the variety- one day I may be in the lab seeing how somebody responds to stress, the next I may be writing.

What I'd do with the money

I’d like more children to be involved with the practical side of science; whether that is in the school lab or trips outside.

My Interview

How would you describe yourself in 3 words?

Fun, Energetic, Motivated

Would you rather be a scientist or an athlete? And why?

Bit of both, enjoy sport as much as science

If you could have a body super power, what would it be and why?

Fly- get places a lot quicker.

Which Olympic event would you most like to win? And why?

100m- to say you are the fastest person in the world that would be pretty impressive. Downhill mountain biking would also be impressive.

What did you want to be after you left school?

Wasn’t really sure, do worry if you don’t know either! Just try your best in school then sure things will work out.

Were you ever in trouble in at school?

Everybody should have fun at school . . .

What's the best thing you've done as a scientist?

Being able to teach a whole range of people

Tell us a joke.

Q: Why does someone who runs marathons make a good student? . . . . Because education pays off in the long run!!
