Carry out fitness testing and use the reuslts to improve perfomance.

My Typical Day

No day is typical, each day we learn somthing new, but all days involve using science to help performance.

What I'd do with the money

Use it to help with research into recovery in our Teambath athletes.

How would you describe yourself in 3 words?

passionate, excitable and scientific!

Would you rather be a scientist or an athlete? And why?

I wanted to be an athlete, but the next best thing is helping athletes with science!

If you could have a body super power, what would it be and why?

To see into the body and find out what was going on, so as to save me taking blood samples!

Which Olympic event would you most like to win? And why?

100m freestyle swimming! It was my dream growing up.

What did you want to be after you left school?

A sport scientist – Job Done!! Hurrah.

Were you ever in trouble in at school?

Not really what you would call trouble, just a little “naughty”

What's the best thing you've done as a scientist?

Help athletes to win Olympic Gold, Silver and Bronze medals.
