Question: How hard is a bone?
Asked by kamilo12 to David, Jonathan, Pete, Sam on 9 Jul 2012.
answered on 9 Jul 2012:
I think it depends on the bone – some will be harder than others. I think someone once compared the human femur (thigh bone) to a hardwood, like maple.
The hardest bone to break, though, is probably one of the tiny ones in your inner ear – although that’s mainly because they’re so hard to get to!
