Question: Why don't we grow hair on our palms or the soles of our feet?
feet, growth, hair
Asked by asandhu to Jemma, John, Katie, Lisa on 29 Jun 2012.
answered on 29 Jun 2012:
Because the hands and feet are the parts of our bodies which most commonly come into contact with our environment we have thicker skin in these areas to protest us. This thicker skin means that hair follicles don’t form so there is no hair.
