• Question: Is it possible to wipe someones memory?

      Hi @tcox,

      yes it is. Some anaesthetics (drugs that are used to induce sleep for operations) bring about something called retrograde amnesia, where you can’t remember a portion of the past 24 hours. However the most devastating forms of memory loss are dementias suffered mainly by the elderly. These are caused by catastrophic brain cell death in the regions of the brain responsible for memory generation.
