      Hi @tclapham, great question,

      the simple answer is no. If your mum catches a cold, it is because she doesn’t have the antibodies necessary to fight it off. Therefore you won’t have inherited the antibodies from her and will also be susceptible to the disease unless you have been exposed to it before and developed your own immunity.
