• Question: Can you become an astronaut if you have scars or do they rip open as you leave the atmosphere?

      That’s a great question! I don’t think scars will be an issue on their own, as the space shuttles (and whatever will replace them soon) were pressurised. This means that air will be pumped around the shuttle in such a way that the environment in their stays safe and comfortable. As a result, I don’t think it would cause any scars to rip open, thankfully!
