      Hi rachelb95! Yep pronation and supination (or too much of it) can increase the chances of certain types of injuries, especially for runners. When you’re running, it’s really important that your foot hits the ground in the right sort of way, so as to absorb the force of your body striking the ground. If you don’t hit the ground in the right sort of way, your foot doesn’t do a very good job of absorbing the shock, and the force is passed up your leg. This can result in injuries like shin splints, ankle sprains and stress fractures.
