I believe that I am truly lucky to be doing something that is so interesting, exciting, variable and stimulating. I am fortunate in that I get to interact with great people of all ages everyday of my working life. So on the few occasions when I feel down, those feelings are quickly washed away with sheer joy at my great job. I absolutely love it!

      Hi Alsreed,
I think there are some small aspects of my job that I don’t enjoy; having a paper rejected that you might have worked a couple of years on, can be a disappointment, but overall those are small dents in what is generally an eclectic and exciting career to be involved in.

Hi Alsreid, I think with most jobs there can be a bit of a mix of ‘highs and lows’, sometimes when I can’t find any volunteers to take part in my reseasrch I get disheartened and sometimes they don’t turn up to their research appointments and it is very frustrating. But in our group we make sure that we celebrate hitting milestones and every success we have is acknowledged. Like Mark and Mark say, there are so many more positive elements to our work that 99.9% of the time I absolutely love what I’m doing because overall the work is so exciting
