Question: How did you all decide what to study at university? I's doing open days, and starting to weight up my different options now, and I am definitely narrowing down my options but it's very tricky! Just wondering whether you found it hard when you were deciding, and if there was anything/anyone that helped?- or whether just just took a bit of time and made up your mind! Thank you, Aileen :-)

Hi @aileenb,

That’s a great question as I’m sure you won’t be the only one who is struggling to make a decision! I struggled as well and had to decided between sports science or engineering. I’m not sure exactly what made the decision but I went to open days read literature on the subjects and tried to imaging my self on the different courses. I tried to imagine myself on each of the courses and doing it as a future career. Its important to think about what you think you could do well but more important to think about what you want to do and could enjoy. I would also say don’t underestimate the importance of finding a uni you are happy with even if what they do is slightly different to what you wanted. 3 or more years is a long time to be there so take your time and talk to your parents and teachers and any older family or friends who have been to uni.
