      There’s a region of the brain called the hypothalamus, which helps us to regulate our body temperature. When we get too hot, neurons send signals from the hypothalamus that stimulate the sweat glands in our skin. They then release sweat (which is mostly water), and during this process heat also gets released, which causes us to cool down.
