• Question: how does space expand

      It’s not space that is expanded, more the distance between the stars and galaxies that is getting wider. The universe isn’t expanding into anything; it’s just that internal parts are separating out. It’s all because of the big bang, which threw matter out at the start of time.

      Sorry I can’t explain it any better; I’m not very good at physics any more!
