This can depend on many things – including how ‘bad’ your sprain is, and how fit and healthy you are. The pain can disappear within a few days, or can take a few weeks. However, the wrist may still be healing inside. Normally when you sprain a wrist you have overstretched your ligaments, fibrous bands that connect bone to bone. This is what takes the longest time to heal, and can take up to a few months.
