• Question: how many leaves does a oak tree have on it?

      Depends on how big the tree is! Some people on the internet are saying about 200,000 , but that must be a really rough estimate. So many factors would affect the answer, such as location, age, species etc etc

      Hi cheese2000,

      Scientists can ask lots of question; and I guess “good science” can involve at least in part asking “important” questions. If we knew the answer to this (or could at least arrive at an approximate answer for this and other trees)) might it help us to influence global warming?
