      Hi et3t1524,

This is the exact beauty of our brain—we are not fully utilise our own abilities and potentials…if we could have used more brain power, i guess only the sky is the limit;)

Hi ez3t1524 , I’m not sure that this is that the “amount” of brain we use…I’m no expert in this, but it strikes me as quite small! I’ve heard it said that although on average our brain only represents 3% of our body weight, it uses up to 20% of its energy! Overall, I’d suggest that it’s a myth that we only use up to 10% of our brain, but that’s not to say that understanding our brain more fully couldn’t help yield considerably more potential! Try some online searches…see what you can find out 🙂

      Hi ez3t1524,

it’s a bit of a myth that we only use three percent of our brain. In fact we use ALL of our brain. The thing about the brain is that any bit of it that we don’t use begins a process called atrophy, where it begins to shrink because it is no longer needed. For instance when someone becomes blind, the area of the brain that was once responsible for processing information from their eyes either shrinks, or is used for another purpose. Use it or lose it!

      Hope this answers your question
