Question: if you sleep with your phone next to your head, will it kill brain cells?
if so if you keep your phone in your pocket as a male, can it kill sperm cells?
Hi hughgreer007! That’s a bit of a tough one – there’s no hard evidence that using a mobile phone damages your brain. Most scientists currently think that it doesn’t, but there’s still some research going on. If you keep it in your pocket though, there is some evidence that suggests that it might damage your sperm. Again though, it’s not 100% conclusive – but it wouldn’t hurt to turn your phone off when you don’t need it.
Hi hughgreer007. As Pete says, the science research in this area is inconclusive. Some say it can damage your brain, others say it won’t. There’s no hard and fast rules at the moment but no doubt scientists will do lots more research to find out exactly what we should and shouldn’t be doing with our mobile phones!
Talking about science in the news, there’s been a recent review of how mobile phones affect us by Health Protection Agency, and they’ve said that there’s no evidence to suggest that they cause brain tumours!
