Hi @austintheor1ginalstar, if a footballer broke their knee cap they are unlikely to have it replaced. Depending on the severity of the fracture treatment can range from plaster casting, to using metal wire to hold the pieces together to removing it all together. The ability of the player after the injury will depend on how severe it is and how successful the rehab is. Many will play as well in the future but if it has to be removed or is accompanied by any damage to the soft tissues in the knee they may struggle to regain their previous form. Lisa
