• Question: is hair dye bad for you?

      Hi hollypayne! Yep, generally hair dye isn’t that good for your hair, because it’s full of chemicals that can damage it. Some dyes are worse than others – generally, if you’re lightening your hair, the dye will contain bleach, which is pretty damaging. If you’re going darker, it’s a bit better if it’s ammonia free.

      I know all this ‘cos I’ve had to help my girlfriend dye her hair a few times 🙂 (my hair’s naturally brown, honest!)
