• Question: Is it possible to be allergic to water, if so would you survive?

      I don’t think that’s possible, Niamh, thankfully! About 60% of our body is made of water, so if we were allergic to it, we’d be allergic to ourselves! There is an extremely rare disease in which people who get water on their skin break out in a rash, but we’re not entirely sure why it occurs – people who research it think that it might be a really sensitive reaction to tiny particles in the water, rather than the water itself.
