  That is a great question! We should always be worried about things like this as we need, as a society, to be careful about living within our means and not abusing the environment we live in. However the latest theories indicate that we may avoid the Malthusian catastrophe due to the advent of mechanised agriculture and the slowing of most developed countries birth rate and the spread of this trend to developing areas.
