Hi again science1234! Strokes and heart attacks are caused by blockages in arteries and veins. If something like cholesterol (from eating lots of unhealthy foods) causes a portion of a blood vessel to become blocked a blood clot can form, which stops oxygen from being delivered to the cells that need it. This will cause damage to the surrounding tissue, which will die really quickly; if the tissue is in the heart you’ll have a heart attack, and if it’s in your brain, you’ll have a stroke.

      Hope that answers your question!
