• Question: What do you like best about science?

      Hi @spacenut,

      From a personal point of view – finding out stuff that I wasn’t sure about before. Sounds simple but that’s it. I wonder about something, formulate a plan to test it and then find out. It’s really satisfying.

      From a wider perspective – The developments in medicine are great. I can (hopefully) live a longer and happier life because of advancements in medicine.

      Hey spacenut! In terms of science in general, I agree with John in that I love that it’s possible to find out so many things about so many new and different (and exciting!) things. it can be kinda scary sometimes when you realise how *much* stuff there is out there that we don’t know about, but it’s really exciting to learn about it.

      In terms of my job as a research psychologist, I really like that there are so many different aspects to it. One day I might be testing participants, the next I might be reading papers (which I can do anywhere, really – coffee shops are good!). Other days I might be writing papers or discussing things with students. It never gets boring!

      What’s your favourite thing about science?
