      There are several differences between different vitamins. I’ll start by saying they have differences in chemical structure. Now this is very important as the general rule in the body is that structure leads to function. Vitamins have different structures, therefore they have different functions in the body. Vitamin A as you’ve probably gathered from my profile, is the coolest of the vitamins. It is used during embryonic development in a process termed patterning, where the foundation of body structure is laid out. It is further used in the adult to govern something called differentiation. It stops cells prolferating and making more of themselves and promotes them becoming cells that can no longer replicate. For this reason vitamin A is often used in cancer therapy where it can stop tumours developing.
