      hi jobyhenderson007! The heat from the sun is generated from countless nuclear reactions that are going on inside it all the time. These nuclear reactions generate the heat, which is what causes the sun to be so hot. The temperature of the sun is different depending on whether you’re at the surface or inside it – at the core (the hottest place), scientists think that it’s about 15,000,000 degrees celsius, and at the surface, we think it’s about 6,000 degrees.
