Hi science1234! I think my favourite thing is that I get to learn about so many different things, and do new things all the time. For example, I’m writing a lecture to give to my university students at the moment, and it’s about how we use vision and eye movements to help us catch a ball that’s been thrown at us, but yesterday, I was writing a paper about how we figure out if people can tell how strong someone is just by the way the walk!

I think the thing is, that if you think about how the world works, or how different types of technology help up, even in a small way, then that makes you a scientist too! So what’s YOUR favourite part of being a scientist?

Hi science1234. My favourite thing is about helping athletes perform to their potential and helping them lead happier, more satisfying lives. I also love the variety of the job. One day I could be doing interviews and handing out questionnaires for my research, other days I could be teaching students, and sometimes I would be mentoring athletes to help prepare them for competition.

Hi science1234. My favorite part of being a scientist is being hands on with people and getting to answer questions that no one has answered before. A big part of my job is furthering knowledge and pushing the boundaries of what we know. I really enjoy that and really enjoy being able to use lots of different techniques to answer really difficult questions!
