      Hi melhughes,

I think I’d study neurology (the nervous system). Here at Sheffield there are a lot of scientists studying this and when I see what they do I think it’s reallly interesting. A lot of people develop conditions like dementia and Alzheimers Disease when they get older so their research will be really important to help reduce the number of people affected by these condtions in the future.

      Hi melhughes,
I’m going to “duck” this question a little bit but would like to understand physics more (e.g., quantum physics, nonlinear dynamics) and chemistry insofar as they relate to the human mind. There is sense that new ground can be broken by “interdisciplinarity” and I’d like to broaden the beam of my torch rather than focus the spotlight in a different area 🙂
