We know that it important that bones are “loaded” (exercise) and also that calcium intake should be maintained. Vitamin D good as well.

Doing some exercise is a great way to make your bones stronger and weight-bearing exercise like walking, running, and jumping will definitely help. Having a good diet is also very important, try to get plenty of calcium from foods like milk, cheese and yoghurt as the calcium in these foods actually make up some of the material of your bones. Getting outside for 15 minutes helps you to produce vitamin D from exposure to the sun’s light and you need this to absorb the calcium from your diet.

People that have weak bones can take very effective treatments to either make their bones stronger or to stop their bones getting weaker.

We know that smoking, drinking too much alcohol can weaken your bones and so it is very important to avoid this.
