      Hi spongeyyy,

      Apparently the cleverest animal is the chimpanzee. Chimpanzees have been shown to be able to learn sign language, complete memory tasks, and use stones to crack nuts open. It is believed they are so intelligent because they share 98% of the same DNA (genes) as humans.

      Hi @spongey,

      I guess it depends what you mean by clever. For example birds are able to carry out lots of interesting memory games, quite impressive for animals that have a brain the size of a walnut. I guess the great apes would be next on the list though as they are our closest evolutionary relatives.
