      Hi anna101,
To start with I’d say I inspired myself – when i was at school I was very hard working and it always paid off when I got my grades and this then inspired me to keep working hard and push myself further.

When I went to university, my lecturers (a bit like your teachers) were really passionate about what they taught and that inspired me to stay in science and continue my studies by doing a PhD. To see people who really love their job and how interested they were in science was really inspiring.

Now I’m working in Sheffield I have two supervisors. I work very independently but they check that I’m doing things right and that everything is going OK. They inspire me everyday. They are really successful scientists who do fantastic research with amazing technologies, they’re pretty famous in the world of bone research and they get to travel all over the world to tell people about their work. I hope that one day I can be like them!

      Hey anna,

I think the people around me tend to inspire me the most – so my family and friends are great inspiration, but also people in school and university. For example my gcse science teacher was so passionate about science and he always let us do lots of awesome experiments and had clever ways of helping us to understand things!
