I guess it’s to do with your personality – some people are extremely competitive, and might have been brought up in such a way that they think winning is really important. When they lose, that conflicts with their view of how competitions should finish, and they become angry or irrational. Other people might have been raised differently, and find more pleasure in taking part in a competition, rather than winning it. So when they lose, it doesn’t really matter to them that much, so they take it well.
