      Hi maxalvers007! That’s a really good question, and I think the answer is that we’re not quite sure yet. Some people think that the tonsils play a big role in your immune system, basically acting like a first line against bacteria and viruses that enter your mouth. But no one really completely knows how they work!

      Why do you think we have tonsils?
