• Question: Why do you get aches such as belly aches or tooth aches?

      Hi @naturalme,

      That’s an interesting question bellyache can be caused by anything from indigestion to something more serious whereas tooth ache is usually caused by tooth decay or something similar. The feeling of an ache is a pain which is the response of a nerve to a prolonged or extreme stimulus such as heat, a knock or over stretching of a muscle. Pain hurts because it is the body’s way of warning you of a danger and the need to move or do something.
