      Hi donnem3,

When I was at school, through college and at university I was a competetive swimmer. I used to train for several hours a day and unfortunately there would be occassions where I would get injured. When this happened I used to go to see a physiotherapist or an chiropractor (a little bit like a doctor for bones and the skeleton). This got me really interested in bones and I realised how important the skeleton is both for general daily life and for sports performance.

Nowadays I just find the work that we do so fascinating and there is still so much research to be done into bone health. Although you might not think it just to look at them, bones are very complicated structures and they are continually changing which I think is cool.
