• Question: Why does every living creature make a different sound?

      It’s due to the shape of their vocal chords! Different animals will have differences in the way their vocal chords work, and how air flows over them and through their mouths will result in different types of sounds. If you think about how many different sounds you can make, just by changing the shape of your mouth slightly, it’s no surprise animals sound so different from each other!

      Hi kamilo12, as Pete says, it’s down to the shape of their vocal cords that makes different creatures make different sounds! 🙂
