Great question! When you get tanned by the sun, you’re subjecting your skin to high levels of ultraviolet radiation, which can cause your skin to burn or cancers to develop. With fake tan though, all you’re basically doing is applying a colouring agent to your skin – so you’re not getting those ultraviolet rays. However, fake tan isn’t always great either – some people can have allergic reactions to it, and depending on the type of tan you use, it might stain your skin or make it go blotchy.
