• Question: why is green the best colour for photosynthesis???

      Hi @ kanyeinstein,

      Chlorophyll is a green substance therefore the greener the plant appears the more chlorophyll in its leaves and therefore the more photosynthesis it can do.
      Chlorophyll is green because it reflects green light rather than absorbing it. Green light is therefore the worst to give a plant as it cannot absorb the light for photosynthesis.
